The tropical wave which was in our area yesterday, has become Tropical Storm Don. It is centered well to the north of us. Today, it is dominating our weather. Skies will be partly cloudy, with a chance of moderate to heavy, scattered rain showers and isolated, strong thunderstorms. The rain cells are associate with TS Don and are in the outfall of this storm. See Figs. 6 and 7. Winds will be variable in direction and gradually increased in strength to 10 to 15 mph from the E. The seas will be 1 to 4 feet in height. Winds and seas maybe higher locally. The next tropical wave is forecast to reach here, this weekend.

The air temperatures will be in the 80s to the mid 90s (F) or 27 to 32 (C).
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82F to 84F or 28C to 29C . Visibility is generally 60 to 80 feet.
The Tropical Weather Outlook
Tropical Storm Don is centered about 120 miles north of us. It is moving WNW at 10mph. It is forecast to make landfall on the Texas coast sometime Friday. It was not very well organized, on this morning's satellite imagery. Else where, tropical storm formation is not expected in the next 24 hours.
