Again today, skies will be sunny with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height. The winds are resuming their normal easterly trade wind pattern. Winds will be ESE to ENE, at 10 mph to 20 mph. There is a chance of rain.
A new cold front is forecast to move off the Texas coast late Tuesday or early Wednesday. It is expected to stall and dissipate in the southern Gulf of Mexico on Thursday.
The air temperatures will be in the mid to high 70s (ºF) to the low to mid 80s or 22ºC to 25ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are about 82ºF to 88ºF or 28ºC to 31ºC . Visibility is generally 20 to 60 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
Shower and thunderstorm activity associated with a low pressure system located about 850 miles northeast of the Leeward Islands has been designated 99L. Continued slow development of this disturbance is possible during the next day or two as it moves slowly northward. This system has a medium chance...40 percent...of becoming a subtropical or tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
