The center was located at 18.3 N latitude and 84.2 W longitude.
Maximum sustained winds were 40 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
Karl is traveling WNW at 15 mph and is expected to continue this course through the night.
At 0200 am on Wednesday, the center of Karl will be directly north of us by about 150 miles. Wind speed and direction is not expected to change.
Karl will make landfall on the Mexican Yucatan Peninsula late tomorrow morning.
All interests in the Bay Islands, especially those on the northside should have completed their tropical storm preparations by now.
Karl will continue to impact our weather for tomorrow, Sept 15th, Independence Day.
