Today, skies will be mostly cloudy with scattered, intermittent showers. Seas will be rough at 2 to 4 feet in height. Winds will be easterly at 15 to 25 mph. Divers should exercise caution exiting and reentering the dive boats.
Cool, high pressure air from the north, continues to interact with a warm southerly air flow along a frontal boundary, creating the rain showers, we are experiencing. Expect this weather pattern to continue through the weekend. Winds and seas will continue to be strong over the weekend before decreasing on Monday.
The next cold front is still forecast to push off the Texas coast late Saturday.
