Today, skies will be partly sunny with a chance of scattered, intermittent showers. Seas will be at 2 to 4 feet in height. Winds will be easterly at 10 to 15 mph.
Cool, high pressure air from the north, continues to interact with a warm southerly air flow along a frontal boundary, creating the rain showers, we are experiencing. Expect this weather pattern to continue through the weekend. Winds and seas will also increase over the weekend before decreasing on Monday.
The next cold front is now forecast to push off the Texas coast late Saturday.
