Skies will be mostly cloudy with a chance intermittent showers and thunderstorms. Winds will be easterly, at 15 mph to 20 mph. The seas are relatively calm at 2 to 4 feet in height. Expect winds and seas to increase later today.

This morning, the center of the tropical wave moving across the NW Caribbean is 150 miles east of Roatan. It is moving slowly WNW at 5 to 10 mph. Conditions are not favorable for further strengthening of this system. However, in the next few days, conditions remain very favorable for heavy rain and associated mudslides, over most of Central America and the adjacent offshore islands, (See Figs 2, 3 & 4 ).
Else where, tropical storm formation is not expected in the next 24 hours.

The air temperatures will be in the 80s to the mid 90s (F) or 27 to 32 (C).
