The Tropical Weather Outlook

Katia is a post tropical cyclone racing across the open North Atlantic ocean for the British Isles. Maximum sustained winds are 80 mph.
TS Nate is still slowly moving W at 7 mph. Early this morning, it was located in the SW Gulf of Mexico at 19.9N x 95.7W. It has maximum winds of 60 mph. It is still expected to make landfall in Mexico sometime today.

An area of disturbed weather located in the Atlantic, a 1000 miles E of the Lesser Antilles has a 10% chance of developing into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.
All interests in the Bay Islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should remain vigilant and continue, to monitor the weather. So far this year, there have been 14 named storms. It is possible, given the current overall weather conditions in the Tropical Atlantic, that there maybe as many as 10 to 14 more named storms, before the hurricane season officially ends on December 1st.
