October 14, 2011
Today,
it will be mostly cloudy with some sunny periods. Seas will be calm
at 1 to 2 feet in height. Winds, will be light, variable in
direction, and mostly easterly at 5 to 10 mph or less. There still is
a chance for intermittent, scattered rain due to a broad area of low
pressure which includes the remnants of East Pacific TD12E. It
extends from southeastern Mexico, eastward into the Northwestern
Caribbean Sea and is producing a very large area of disorganized
shower and thunderstorm activity.

The
Tropical Weather Outlook
There
are no tropical cyclones in the Atlantic or Caribbean today. However,
computer models continue to predict that a tropical depression could
form in the Western Caribbean or extreme southern Gulf of Mexico
early next week. Some of the spin and moisture for this storm could
come from the remains of TD 12-E.
Tropical
storm formation is not expected for the next 24 hours.
