The Tropical Weather Outlook
A large and elongated area of cloudiness and showers continues over the Central Atlantic Ocean approximately 800 to 900 miles east and northeast of the Leeward Islands. This activity is associated with the interaction between a surface trough...a tropical wave...and an upper-level low. Slow development is possible as this system drifts generally northward over the next couple of days...and it has a low chance...20 percent...of becoming a subtropical or tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
