Caribbean Sea

Again
today, it will be mostly cloudy, with mid to high level clouds. Seas
will be 1 to 3 feet in height. Winds, will be mostly WNW at 15 to 25
mph. This morning, the cold front is still stationary extending from
the tip of Florida to the Yucatan peninsula and into the NW Caribbean
Sea. The front will continue to drift SE, through Wednesday. Expect
strong NW winds behind the front, with rain and thunderstorms along
and within 100 miles of each side of the frontal boundary to
continue. Another cold front will push off the Texas coast Wednesday or
Thursday.
A
weak low pressure system in the SW Caribbean continues to move slowly
westward toward the coast of Nicaragua and Honduras. Expect,
intermittent rain and thunderstorms, in association with this low, on
the North Coast of Honduras through Thursday.
The
air temperatures will be in the high 70s (ºF)
to the low to mid 80s or 22ºC
to 25ºC.
Ocean
water temperatures are about 82ºF
to 88ºF or 28ºC
to 31ºC . Visibility is
generally 20 to 60 feet. With the wind chill factor, it will feel
like the 60s, especially to divers exiting the water.
