Again today, skies will be sunny with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height. Winds will be E to ENE at 10 mph to 15 mph. There is a slight chance of rain.
A cold front has move off the Texas coast and lies on a line from the Florida Panhandle to near Vera Cruz, Mexico. (See Fig 2 below) It will continue moving SE and may reach the NW Caribbean Sea by late Thursday or early Friday. A new stronger cold front will enter the NW Gulf by Saturday evening. Gale conditions are expected behind this front in the SW Gulf late Saturday night into Sunday.
The air temperatures will be in the mid to high 70s (ºF) to the low to mid 80s or 22ºC to 25ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are about 82ºF to 88ºF or 28ºC to 31ºC . Visibility is generally 20 to 60 feet.
