Today, skies will be sunny with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height. Winds will be light, variable and mostly westerly at 5 to 10 mph or less. This morning, a cold front reaches from southern Louisiana to near Tampico, Mexico and by this evening, it will be on a line from the Florida panhandle to the eastern Bay of Campeche. It will move SE of the area late Thursday. Winds west of the front will increase to near gale-force, Wednesday in the SW Gulf of Mexico, with seas building to 13 ft.
The air temperatures will be in the mid to high 70s (ºF) or 21ºC to 23ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are about 82ºF or 28ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 60 feet or higher.
