Skies will be mostly cloudy with the possibility of scattered, intermittent heavy showers. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet in height. Initially, winds will be mostly E to ENE at 10 to 20 mph. They will shift to the N-NW with the approach and passage of a cold front.
This morning, a strong cold front is on a line from near Tampa, FL to Vera Cruz, Mexico. Look for rain and strong, possibly gale force, northerly winds behind and along the front. This front will pass over us later today or early tomorrow. By Tuesday, the front is expected to reach from E Cuba to the SW Caribbean or just to the east of the Bay Islands. On Wednesday, it will stall on a line from the Mona Passage to Costa Rica, where it will dissipate by Friday.
Another weak cold front will enter the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday and then stall midway across it.
The air temperatures will from the mid to high 70s (ºF) to the low to mid 80s (F) or 21ºC to 29ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are about 78ºF or 24ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 60 feet.
