Skies will be mostly sunny with mid to high level cloudiness. There is a very slight chance of scattered showers. Seas will be choppy at 2 to 4 feet in height. Winds will be ESE to ENE in direction at 10 to 15 mph. Winds and seas will continue to diminish as the cold front approaches this area.
This morning the cold front was on a line from SW Louisiana to the Western Bay of Campeche. It will approach the NW Caribbean Sea late Wednesday. A reinforcing cold front will enter the NW Gulf of Mexico Thursday and quickly move through Gulf waters...merging with the first front east of the area on Friday.
The air temperatures will range from the mid to high 70s (ºF) to the low to mid 80s (ºF) or 21ºC to 29ºC.
Ocean water temperatures are about 78ºF or 24ºC. Visibility is generally 20 to 60 feet.
