This morning, satellite images show a good amount of tropical moisture, with isolated moderate convection, over the Western Caribbean and Central America.. Skies will be partly sunny with mid to high level clouds. Winds will be moderate at 5 to 15 mph. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet. Early morning and late evening, showers and thunderstorms, are possible, in association, with typical summer afternoon heating. Winds and seas maybe locally higher near squalls. Little change in the winds or convection is expected during the next day or so. Expect winds and seas to increase on Thursday and Friday.
The air temperatures will be in the 80s to the mid 90s (F) or 27 to 32 (C). With the heat index, it will feel like 100 degrees plus. At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82F to 86F or 28C to 30C . Visibility is generally 60 to 80 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook

Irene is a post tropical cyclone, passing over Canada. Maximum sustained winds are 50mph. This is the last advisory on Irene.
92L has become TD 12. It is located at 9.4 N latitude x 26.3 W longitude. This position is approximately 3700 miles SSE of us. It is moving due W at 15 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 35mph. TD 12 could become a tropical storm later today. The current consensus of computer models is that, it will turn WNW in the next day or so. However, until it does so and gets well above 16N latitude, this system bears watching closely. In its early stages, it is following a track very similar to Harvey. This system has the potential to become the next major hurricane.
It currently does not pose a threat to us. However, since we are approaching the peak (Sept 10) of the hurricane season, all interests in the Bay Islands and on the north coast of Honduras should continue, to monitor the weather and prepare for future storms.
