Skies will be partly sunny with mid to high level clouds. Winds will be 5 to 15 mph and variable in direction. Seas will be 1 to 2 feet.
TS Nate in the SW Gulf of Mexico is still influencing our weather. Therefore, there is a very slight chance for intermittent squalls and thunderstorms later today.
The air temperatures will be in the 80s to the mid 90s (F) or 27 to 32 (C). With the heat index and little or no wind during the day, it will feel like 100 degrees plus. Everyone, especially divers should stay well hydrated.
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82F to 86F or 28C to 30C . Visibility is generally 40 to 60 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook

Katia remains a Cat 1 hurricane. It is moving NE, towards the open North Atlantic ocean. Maximum sustained winds are 85 mph.
TS Nate is stationary and located in the SW Gulf of Mexico at 19.9N x 92.3W. It has maximum winds of 65mph. It is still expected to turn W and make landfall in Mexico.
This morning, TS Maria was centered at 13.8N x 56.2W or about 1800 miles SSE of us. It is traveling WNW or 290 degrees at 18 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 40 mph.
Although Maria has begun a turn to the WNW, there is a fair amount of uncertainty in the track guidance for this storm. Consequently, until it gets well north of 16N latitude, Maria still bears watching closely. It currently does not pose a threat to us.
Since we are approaching the peak (Sept 10) of the hurricane season, all interests in the Bay Islands and on the north coast of Honduras should continue, to monitor the weather and prepare for future storms.
