There will be intermittent rain and thunderstorms all day, due to a very fluid frontal boundary just to the west of us. ( See Fig 2 ) In between, skies will be partly sunny with mid to high level clouds. Winds will be very light, at 2 to 10 mph or less, except near squalls. Seas will be calm at 1 to 2 feet, except near squalls.
The air temperatures will be in the 80s to the mid 90s (F) or 27 to 32 (C). With the heat index and little or no wind during the day, it will feel like 100 degrees plus. Everyone, especially divers should stay well hydrated.
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82F to 86F or 28C to 30C . Visibility is generally 40 to 60 feet.

The Tropical Weather Outlook (See Fig 3)

Remnants of Lee continue to be a flood threat, as it moves NE, over the Mid-Atlantic States and SW New England today.
Katia remains a Cat 1 hurricane. It continues to pass between the East Coast of the USA and Bermuda today. Maximum sustained winds are 90 mph.
The broad area of low pressure (96L) has developed into TS Nate. It is located in the SW Gulf of Mexico. It has maximum winds of 45mph and is moving E at 1 mph. It is expected to turn W and make landfall in Mexico.
TD 14 is now TS Maria.. This morning, the center was at 13.0N x 50.0W or about 2100 miles SSE of us. It is traveling W at 23 mph and will approach the Leeward Islands Friday. Maximum sustained winds are 50 mph.
TS Maria still bears watching closely. It currently does not pose a threat to us.
However, since we are approaching the peak (Sept 10) of the hurricane season, all interests in the Bay Islands and on the north coast of Honduras should continue, to monitor the weather and prepare for future storms.
