Today,
it will be sunny, with mid to high level clouds. Seas will be 1 to 3
feet in height. Winds, will be mostly westerly at 5 to 10 mph or
less. There
is a chance of rain, as the remnants of 97L drift NW in the Central
and Western Caribbean Sea. A
cold front is moving off the Texas coast.. The front will reach from
the Florida Big Bend to the E Bay of Campeche tonight. It will then
begin to interact with TS Rina pushing it back south.
The
air temperatures will be in the high 70s (ºF)
to the low to mid 80s or 22ºC
to 25ºC.
Ocean
water temperatures are about 82ºF
to 88ºF or 28ºC
to 31ºC . Visibility is
generally 20 to 60 feet
The
Tropical Weather Outlook
At
5 am EDT, tropical storm Rina
was located just W of Cancun, Mexico. It is moving NNE at 5 mph.
Maximum sustained winds are now 50 mph. The central pressure is 996
mb. It is expected to turn SE tonight, then move south on Saturday
and Sunday. It will weaken to a tropical depression and be centered
about 300 miles N of Roatan on Saturday. It will be pushed further
south by the cold front Sunday through Wednesday.

A
broad area of low pressure remains over the central western Caribbean
Sea. It is drifting slowly northwestward. This system, has a very low
chance...near 0 percent...of becoming a tropical cyclone during the
next 48 hours.
Another
low pressure system in the eastern Atlantic, about 850 WNW of the
Cape Verde Islands has a 10 percent chance of becoming a tropical
cyclone during the next 48 hours.
