Again today, it will be mostly cloudy, with intermittent rain. Seas will be 2 to 4 feet in height or higher. Winds, will be mostly westerly at 30 to 35 mph or higher; decreasing later today and Thursday to 20 to 25 mph or less.
The air temperatures will be in the low to high 70s (ºF) or 22ºC to 25ºC. For divers, with the wind chill factor, it may feel like the high 60s to low 70s on exiting the water.
At depth, ocean water temperatures are about 82ºF to 88ºF or 28ºC to 31ºC . Visibility is generally 20 to 60 feet or lower in areas of high runoff and mixing due to winds and currents.

The Tropical Weather Outlook
Rina is still a strong category 2 hurricane. At 5 am EDT, the center was located at 17.5 N x 85.2 W or about 110 miles NE (45º) of Roatan. It continues to creep, at 4 mph, slightly N of W or 275º/280º. Maximum sustained winds are now 110 mph. The central pressure is 967 mb. A gradual turn, toward the NW, remains in the official forecast. I do not think this will happen until its forward speed increases significantly and the storm center reaches or crosses the Belizean coastline. Conditions continue to be conducive for a further slight increase in strength, later today . On its present forecast path, it does not pose a significant danger to us. However, interests, especially those on the north side of the islands and on the North Coast of Honduras should expect, rain along with strong winds and seas, to continue through today and Thursday, as Rina moves slowly west and intensifies to a category 3 hurricane.

Else where, the status of 97L has not changed significantly in the last 24 hours. It is still, not well organized and it is moving westward at 10 to 15 mph. However, conditions have become less favorable for development. Consequently, this system, now has a low chance...near 10 percent...of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
All interests in the Bay Islands and on the north coast of Honduras should continue to monitor both these systems.
